This week's post is a simple one, but a much needed one. There are times we need to be reminded of a truth that elevates our existence in a way that breathes new life into tired bones.
Words that refresh and realign our hearts in a way that gives us reason to pause and be thankful, even in the midst of difficulties and uncertainties.
One of my favourite theologians is Frederick Buechner. He has a way of taking religious themes and concepts and making them tangibly real. Many times I have come across his twitter feed and been blessed by his word pictures. You can follow him here.
He recently tackled the word grace. It is one of the most profound truths of the Christian faith and I appreciated his post so much, I wanted to pass it on to you.
Here it is. I hope it blesses you as much as it did me.

We live in an age defined by uncertainty and polarization. Wars and economic stability dominate headlines, leaving many fearful about the future. Communities and even churches are divided, while technology, rising mental health struggles, and fear-driven media are defining the emotional realities of our age. Into such a climate does the Book of Revelation speak with surprising relevance.

There's nothing like a pandemic to bring out the best and the worst in people. I can't say I'm surprised, these things have a way of showing people's true colours and where their confidence, or can I say, suspicions, lie.
What is disheartening is what I'm seeing and hearing from those who claim to be followers of Jesus, Worse yet, are those who hold leadership platforms who are using them in ways that is, at least in my mind, not only disheartening, but downright embarrassing.
